The technical staff for the CBS broadcast of the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 13, used the latest in technology to provide television viewers worldwide with cutting-edge, high-definition 5.1 surround sound for a wide range of musical performances and tributes. The Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing members Phil Ramone and Hank Neuberger again supervised the broadcast audio, while fellow P&E Wing member Leslie Ann Jones—who won a 2011 Grammy Award in the category of Best Engineered Album, Classical for Quincy Porter's Complete Viola Works—supervised the house audio.
