Peavey Euro 112

Peavey announces its new Euro Series, a line of high-grade, portable professional loudspeakers that offer high performance, lightweight and high power handling in a compact enclosure.

The Peavey Euro Series marks the debut of an exclusive Peavey-engineered loudspeaker that uses a dual voice coil and neodymium magnet design. The two-way, full-range Euro 115 ($819.99) and Euro 112 (pictured; $769.99) enclosures use this new loudspeaker—in 15-inch and 12-inch formats, respectively—in conjunction with the Peavey RX22 titanium compression driver. Patented asymmetrical Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology eliminates distortions commonly caused by drivers pushing high sound pressure levels for pristine, precise sound reproduction.

The Peavey Euro 218 Sub ($1,149.99) is designed for astounding performance, compact size and lightweight. Featuring a pair of 18-inch neodymium-loaded loudspeakers arranged in a vented, isobaric chamber, the Euro 218 Sub is said to produce massive low-end performance in a smaller enclosure than a typical 1x18 sub, and up to 3,000 watts peak power handling.

The Euro Series is also designed for durability, housed in an ultra light, 9-ply enclosure and protected by HammerHead coating and a full-length, 16-gauge powder-coated perforated metal grille. All Euro Series enclosures feature stand mounts for easily mounting the Euro 115 and Euro 112 on a Euro 218 Sub or other subwoofer. Side handles are included on the enclosures for portability.

Peavey states that the Euro Series will be available in the third quarter of 2009 from authorized Peavey retailers.
