Roger Linn Design introduces the third generation in its line of AdrenaLinn multipurpose stompboxes with the AdrenaLinn III ($499). Like its predecessor, the AdrenaLinn II, AdrenaLinn III offers amp modeling plus a variety of modulation and delay effects—including looped filter sequences—all synched to the built-in programmable drum machine or to MIDI.
The new model adds reverb, compression, tuner and enhanced modulation effects, and offers 40 amp models (including four bass amps), promising improved tube emulation, presence and tonal accuracy. New MIDI enhancements permit control of nearly all settings from MIDI footswitches and expression pedals, and the functions of the two footswitches may now be reassigned. User presets and drumbeats are doubled to 200 each.
AdrenaLinn III is available from Linn dealers or directly from the Roger Linn Design Website. Owners of earlier AdrenaLinn or AdrenaLinn II systems can purchase a $99 AdrenaLinn III Upgrade Kit here to convert their unit to a fully-functional AdrenaLinn III.
