The SF MusicTech Summit will take place on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco, bringing together more than 700 prominent and influential leaders in music and technology—including entrepreneurs, developers, venture capitalists, investors and service providers in an educational, networking and deal-making environment.

BigTakeOver.com states, “The San Fran MusicTech was of tremendous value for any ‘indie’ musician, songwriter, producer, techie, record label employee, journalist, promoter—anybody interested in learning about, or working within, or even helping to save the official American recorded music industry, sometimes from itself.”

Featured speakers include recording artist Ben Folds, San Francisco Symphony conductor Michael Tilson-Thomas, Pandora Radio CEO Tim Westergren, LiveNation’s Noah Maffitt, musical instrument technology developer and inventor of the drum machine, Roger Linn, Internet Archive’s Brewster Kahle, Mashable’s Jolie O’Dell, Warner Music’s Ryan Garner, and more.

The SF MusicTech Summit will offer more than 60 speakers, new product demos, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities. Agenda topics include "The Future of Musical Instruments," "Rebirth of Video," "State of Webcasting," "Threats to San Francisco Nightlife," "Machine Listening" and "The Resurgence of Analog Synthesizers."

Event sponsors include Cisco Media Solutions, Pandora Internet Radio, Next Big Sound, LyricFind, IODA, LimeWire, Rovi Corp, Headliner.fm, INgrooves, SoundExchange, Geodesic, Gracenote, Bullivant Houser & Bailey PC, dotMusic Domain Name, Blip.fm, Sonic.net, Collecta, the Future of Music Coalition, Local Music Vibe, ABB Records and SoundHound. Media partners include Mashable, A2IM, ReadWriteWeb, Digital Music News, Web.illish.us and Justin.tv.

"The SF MusicTech Summit, created in the city that leads the way in innovation and new technologies, is a forum for visionaries to connect, share, discuss and announce exciting new products,” says Brian Zisk, the event's executive producer. “Countless pioneering companies and investors flock to the music technology space, as the advent of new technologies offers enormous potential and strong opportunity for growth.”
