Shure Incorporated in Niles, Ill., announces that two of its vice presidents were promoted to senior vice president. Ron Thompson, Vice President of Operations, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Shure as a consultant in 2002, Thompson held leadership positions in manufacturing, marketing and sales at Zenith Electronics, Knowles Electronics and Boldt Metronics International.

“Through Ron’s leadership, there have been significant improvements in the Operations Division,” says Sandy LaMantia, Shure’s president and CEO. “This includes the implementation of our manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China; substantial reductions in inventory; enhanced on-time delivery; advancements in our quality functions; and improved turnaround time in product service.”
