Sonnox, based in Oxford, UK, announces that it is the first third-party developer of AAX DSP plug-ins to qualify for Avid’s S3L live console. Sonnox’s new AAX DSP plug-ins—the EQ, Dynamics, Inflator, TransMod, Reverb and Limiter—have been designed and tested to perform with maximum efficiency with the S3L console.

Front-of-house engineers such as Rick Camp (J-Lo), Richard Nicholson (The Script), Snake Newton (Duran Duran, Jessie J) and Ben Findlay (Peter Gabriel) have chosen Sonnox plug-ins for high-end processing on Avid VENUE consoles.

Al McKinna, Avid's principal product manager for Live Systems & Consoles, states: “Avid is excited that Sonnox plug-ins are now available for use with the Avid S3L live sound system, significantly expanding the creative tools available to our customers. Sonnox plug-ins are the perfect addition to Avid S3L, running directly on its HDX-powered processing engine to deliver the tightest integration and lowest latency possible. Sonnox plug-ins are held in high regard by the live sound industry, both for their sonic quality and their intuitive operation. We look forward to hearing them in use by our customers.”
