Post-production sound company CSS Studios announces that it has reached an agreement to renew the lease for its Sound One facility at the celebrated Brill Building in Midtown Manhattan. Additionally, the company announces an extension of its relationship with re-recording mixer Lee Dichter (pictured).

“Sound One is the preeminent Manhattan post sound facility and serves an important role in the New York post production market,” says Robert C. Rosenthal, president of CSS Studios. “We are thrilled about extending our commitment to this market and we are very pleased to do so within the historic environment of the Brill Building.

“Lee Dichter is a legend in our business—a true professional at the very top of his game,” Rosenthal continues. “Dichter’s creative talent is exceptional and he is a tremendous asset to us at Sound One, as well as to the entire filmmaking community. We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with him.”

Dichter has contributed to more than 200 feature films and has collaborated with an extensive list of notable filmmakers, including Woody Allen, Nora Ephron, Brian DePalma, M. Night Shyamalan, Sidney Lumet, Mike Nichols, Alan Pakula and Barry Sonnenfeld.

Recently, Dichter mixed the critically acclaimed Julie & Julia, The Reader and Doubt.

Sound One is a major full-service audio post-production facility, home to five re-recording studios, two ADR studios, a Foley studio and nearly one hundred editing suites. The facility’s creative staff includes re-recording mixers Michael Barry, Lee Dichter, Roberto Fernandez, Andy Kris, Reilly Steele and Dominick Tavella. Recent facility credits include Taking Woodstock, Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire, Did You Hear About the Morgans? and HBO’s The Wire.
