On March 30-31, 2012, SPARS (the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services) will present a regional SPARS Studio Summit in Asheville, N.C. at Echo Mountain Recording. Participants will include students from Appalachian State University's Music Technology and Recording programs; University of North Carolina, Asheville; and Western Carolina University, as well as regional members of the production community.

Echo Mountain Recording's "The Church" room houses a vintage Neve 8068 mkII console.

This summit will offer panels on music business and production, as well as mentoring sessions for students and career minded recording professionals.

SPARS Board members and other well-known local and out of state recording professionals will round out the list of speakers and roundtable panelists.
