Hollywood, Calif. based post-production sound company Todd-AO has entered into an agreement to extend the lease for its Todd-AO West facility, located within the Lantana complex at 3000 Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica.

“Todd-AO West is an important part of our strategic plan to remain the destination of choice for post-production sound services,” says Robert C. Rosenthal, president of CSS Studios. “This agreement reinforces our commitment to continuing a strong, full-service presence in Santa Monica.”

Todd-AO West comprises five mixing stages, one ADR stage, one Foley stage and a number of editorial rooms.

In recent years, Todd-AO West has completed technical upgrades to its mixing stages, converting all five of them to Euphonix System 5 consoles. Additionally, the facility continues to attract top-tier creative talent and projects, including titles such as the upcoming feature Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the recent feature G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and the HBO miniseries The Pacific.

“Our clients want to work in a creative setting with access to top talent,” Rosenthal adds. “At the same time, our clients demand a high degree of content security, comfort, and privacy, within an organization capable of adjusting to the unique needs of their project. Todd-AO West is a time-tested facility that has proven capable of rising to those challenges in the service of a highly discriminating clientele.”
