As of May 1, 2010, TransAudio Group in Las Vegas is handling Chameleon Labs' worldwide sales and marketing efforts. Chameleon Labs builds vintage-inspired analog recording gear with performance and options offered at a fraction of the cost typically associated with high-end gear.
TransAudio Group will offer Chameleon Labs’ 7602 MKII microphone preamp and EQ (pictured) with a Carnhill transformer option, the 7720 stereo bus compressor, the 7802 2-channel opto tube compressor and the TS-1 small diaphragm tube mic.
“In a world where end users are flooded with heavily advertised cheap gear, its important they know there is another option, something that’s affordable and sounds like pro gear. Chameleon Labs offers three unique and useful pieces all under $1,000 MSRP that offer ‘best of class’ performance,” says Brad Lunde, president of TransAudio Group. “When I hear what my high-end customers are saying to me about Chameleon, it sure got my attention. This is the first brand I’ve heard that changes the rules and offers an extreme deal for customers.”
The 7602 MKII microphone preamp and EQ offers selectable mic impedance, highpass filtering, three bands of EQ, direct-input, optional Carnhill input and output transformers, phase reversal, phantom power and more.
