PMI Audio Group, based in Gardena, Calif., will host a meet and greet on Friday, October 21, at L. Brown Recording in the Hell’s Kitchen section of New York City. The special guest is Tony Visconti, who has produced David Bowie, T. Rex, the Dandy Warhols, Moody Blues, Ziggy Marley, Thin Lizzy, Iggy Pop, The Finn Brothers and many others.
Visconti will be at the party between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. It will begin with a meet and greet; following that, Visconti will discuss his history with Trident, including working with Malcolm Toft, Ken Scott, Roy Thomas Baker and others at London's Trident Recording Studios.
Visconti will also discuss some of his techniques on the Trident consoles for achieving a "killer rock 'n' roll sound." There will also be a Q&A session.
Invitations to this event are available at the AES Convention in PMI Audio Group's booth #347.
In addition, PMI Audio Group will give away a Trident Series 80B console (worth $3,000) at the Visconti event. Entry information is also available in PMI Audio Group's AES booth #347.
