Acoustic solutions manufacturer Vicoustic in Lisbon, Portugal, has appointed Australian microphone manufacturer RØDE to distribute its products in the U.S. and Australia. The distribution agreement follows Vicoustic's recent company restructuring into three separate divisions: Music & Broadcast, Hi-Fi & Home Cinema and Industrial. Within the designated territories, RØDE will initially focus on the Music & Broadcast and Hi-Fi & Home Cinema market sectors.

Vicoustic CEO Cesar Carapinha says that the new partnership with RØDE aims to bring long-term benefits to both companies.

"We are delighted to be working in partnership with RØDE," Carapinha says. "Not only are they one of the top microphone brands, they also occupy an established and respected position within the Australian and U.S. music and audio retail markets, which will be our prime focus initially. From our popular microphone-related products, such as Flexi Screen and Flexi Screen Lite, to our flagship studio acoustic solutions such as Wave Wood, RØDE is the ideal distribution partner. We also aim to collaborate on a range of installation projects in which our product range will be perfectly complemented by RØDE's extensive microphone portfolio. It's a win-win situation and I'm looking forward to some exciting times ahead."

"As one of the world's premier pro audio manufacturers, RØDE Microphones is incredibly excited to commence this partnership with Vicoustic," says Damien Wilson, RØDE Microphones' global sales and marketing manager. "Our strong distribution presence in the U.S. and Australian markets combined with the complementary nature of the products will ensure that all musicians and creators have access to premium recording and acoustic solutions."
