AES 2010: WhisperRoom XLR Jack Panel
Nov 5, 2010 5:31 PM
WhisperRoom debuts an XLR Jack Panel prototype catered to audio engineering applications. The XLR panel will allow audio professionals to plug in DAWs, instruments, mics and other equipment. The XLR option would be a 40" wall component with a prewired insert. There is a 26x36" wall window above the panel for optimum visibility. Below the window is a 2" cable passage for situations where additional cables need to be used. The XLR panel option will be available for all models except the MDL 4230 (3.5x2.5’).
WhisperRoom will also be teaming up with Auralex to display its new Studiofoam Pro in the WhisperRoom at the show. Every WhisperRoom comes standard with Auralex 2-inch pyramid foam sheets that attach to the interior walls with Velcro. WhisperRoom offers 20 sizes and two levels of sound isolation: a Standard (single wall) and an Enhanced (double wall). All models are upgradeable from a Standard to an Enhanced at any time. Sizes range from a modest 3.5x2.5’ one-person unit to a room size 8.5x15.5’ unit. Most models are also expandable in length in various increments depending on the model.
Included with all WhisperRooms are basic ventilation systems with a remote switch, a door window, Auralex acoustic foam sheets, interior duct covers and an interior light(s). Also available are a variety of optional features including wall windows, audio jack panels, caster plates, wide-access doors and many more.
