Description: Patchwerk Studios recently reopened after an acoustic and equipment upgrade. The "B" room to Studio 9000 (featured in the "Class of 2002") was redesigned around a new SSL 48-channel Duality console. Studio manager Curtis Daniel and chief engineer Mike Wilson worked with Atlanta firm Heber Designs on the remodel. Installation of the new console required front-wall changes in the placement of the soffit-mounted Genelec 1038a mains and Electro-Voice subs. The original producer's credenza was revamped, capped with a granite top and moved forward to allow better rear-room diffusion. New Brazilian cherry hardwood and carpeting were added to finish off the control room.
