"This is a textbook example of the ‘Vest Pocket Studio’ trend,” says John Storyk. “We optimized every square inch of available space. With barely 330 square feet for the entire studio, including a surprisingly roomy iso booth, the 5.1 room’s sound quality is extraordinary. Custom millwork enables the control room surfaces to serve as a single unconventional low-frequency unit. Room-within-room construction coupled with innovative design elements and proven acoustic treatments such as ceiling membranes and Helmholtz resonators enabled us to provide the room with an extremely low reverb time. The sweet spot was expanded by placing the Focal 5.1 speakers two-thirds back toward the rear wall."
