At-a-Glance: Creative base for producer/mixer/songwriter Michael Nowak. During mixing and critical listening, a sliding acoustical panel can be positioned over the side-looking control room glass to control first-order reflections. Custom-built broadband and low-frequency absorber panels in the control room double as hanger mounts for the studio's large stringed-instrument collection, which also contributes additional diffusion. Auralex Space Couplers are employed to manage reflections from rear windows in the control room and as a cloud above the mix position.
