This Month in Mix
The DM-3200, Tascam's all-new, 48-channel digital console, is now shipping. Based on the DM-24's ease-of-use, the DM-3200 adds more buses, more effects, more auxes, USB connectivity and many other new features. Its user interface includes 16 rotary encoders with LED indicators to display mixer settings at a glance.
Up to 6.1 surround panning is available, and an optional surround monitoring interface card adds multichannel monitor, bass management and downmix capabilities. Other features include full 96kHz/24-bit resolution, 16 buses, eight aux sends, 4-band parametric EQ and dynamics of the 32 channels, onboard stereo effects, moving fader automation, expansion slots for other I/O formats and Windows/Mac OS X Mixer Companion software for project management, timecode and meter displays.
