Nashville, TN (April 15, 2020)—Building out his ParSonics Studio in Santa Barbara, CA, producer/engineer/rock legend Alan Parsons has outfitted the space with PhantomFocus eChairs.
Parsons, who early in his career assistant-engineered The Beatles’ Abbey Road and Let It Be, is most famous for his later work engineering Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon and producing Al Stewart’s Year of The Cat, as well as his own top-selling Alan Parsons Project albums. His latest album, The Secret, was mostly written, recorded and mixed at ParSonics. He is also the creator of the Art & Science of Sound Recording (ASSR) videos series and masterclasses.

Aiming to outfit the recording studio with new seating, the multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning engineer opted for three Raven Chrome PhantomFocus eChairs. Parsons comments, “The PhantomFocus eChairs have quickly become an integral part of the overall performance of ParSonics, enabling us to work long hours with less fatigue, and hence more creativity.”
The PhantomFocus eChair is the result of R&D done by Steve Knight, a former Grand Prix and Endurance champion Le Mans and Grand Am series racecar driver, to design the ultimate chair for back support and posture. According to the manufacturer, it features “advanced mechanics and materials to perform in a manner that actually improves the health of an engineer’s back.”
