MXL Microphones, the professional audio division of Marshall Electronics, announces that the MXL Cube cardioid condenser microphone ($69.99 street price) is now shipping and available exclusively through Musician’s Friend. MXL’s Cube is designed to handle a wide range of recording tasks.
The Cube offers a stated frequency response of 20 to 20k Hz and features a 1-inch gold sputtered, six-micron pressure gradient capsule and a low-noise FET (field-effect transistor) preamp with balanced transformer coupled output. It is also internally wired with Mogami cable.
The microphone also has a champagne finish and ships in a protective case with a microphone clip. A shock-mount is optionally available.
