Sanken Showcases Supersonic 100kHz Music Mics at AES 2024
Sanken will be demonstrating the full range of six unique Sanken Chromatic professional studio microphones available for demo at AES October 8-10. Featuring 100kHz microphones designed for extreme high-resolution music and film recording, Sanken will display the remarkable supersonic wide-range of the CUX-100K and CO-100K mics, alongside the CU-51 and CU-55 studio cardioids, and the dual-capsule condenser CU-44X and CU-41R mics.

CO-100K Supersonic Wide-Range Omni-Directional Condenser Mic
With a 20Hz ~ 100kHz range, the CO-100K omni-directional condenser microphone is the world’s first super wide-band microphone designed specifically for professional high-resolution, high sample rate recording. Initially finding favor with engineers for orchestral main microphone arrays, it is now being used extensively in a wide range of applications including many acoustic instruments.
CUX-100K Supersonic Wide-Range Omni/Cardioid Dual Capsule Mic
The CUX-100K super wide range professional microphone is based on the very popular single omni-mode CO-100K design, but with the ability to change modes with three settings: Cardioid (Far), Cardioid (Near) and Omni modes. The CUX-100K is an exclusive design, perfect for high-resolution, high sample rate recordings. “The definition of all frequencies was amazing,” Jazz legend Don Grusin.
